Cabbage and Meat Casserole

Free of eggs, sesame, peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, wheat, dairy



½ Head of cabbage


1 cup shredded carrots

1 package of ground meat (turkey or beef)

4 large potatoes

Olive oil

Garlic, salt, pepper to taste

 

In a large pot, boil the cabbage and potatoes until they are tender (probably between 10 and 20 minutes). Drain. Meanwhile, pour some olive oil and the seasoning into a sauce pan and brown the meat. Separate the potatoes from the cabbage and mash them. Dice the boiled cabbage into 1 ½ by 1 ½ inch pieces. Put the meat, cabbage and potatoes back into the large pot and stir. Add additional seasoning as needed. Serve warm.

Servings: 6-8 ($1.30/serving)
